Condition 6: Openness
The Data Subject must be made aware of who is collecting their Personal Information.
The POPI Act sets out certain information that the Data Subject must be made aware of when their Personal Information is being collected. This information is generally documented in a businesses privacy policy and/or in their POPI consent document.
The condition of openness also includes making the Data Subject aware of any third parties that the Responsible Party will be sharing their Personal Information with, and for what purpose.
